Clay & Collage (All Ages)

Come explore the joyful intersection of texture and two versatile creative media in Clay & Collage, a hands-on art class for all ages and experience levels. Each week, we’ll explore both clay and collage, giving you the opportunity to work in two expressive mediums during every session.

In our clay segment, we’ll focus on slab-building: a beginner-friendly hand-building technique where you roll, shape, and assemble flat pieces of clay into simple forms like tiles, simple vessels, or decorative objects. You’ll learn how to shape, texture, and join clay without the wheel, using just your hands and basic tools.

In the collage portion, we’ll explore creative storytelling through color collage and visual poetry/story collage. Use cut and torn paper, found images, and text fragments to build intuitive compositions that reflect emotion, imagination and personal narrative.
