Creative Month January - 2025 Group

Welcome, everyone!

I’m so excited you’ve joined the January Creative Month practices! I discovered that January is International Creativity Month just a couple of weeks before the new year. While there wasn’t much time to plan, the real magic comes from youand your participation. This group is a space for us to share progress, support one another, and embrace this creative journey together.

As we begin, here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Missing a day (or two) is okay. If you miss a day, resist the urge to double up the next—this isn’t about “catching up.” Missing a day says nothing about your dedication or commitment to this process.

2. Getting stuck is okay, too. If you’re working on a larger (One Month) project and hit a roadblock, don’t worry and don't judge. Get curious, reflect and see if you can start again:

• What brought on the stuck feelings?

• What were you hoping to feel when you started?

• What final product did you envision?

• What is the minimum you can do to move to the next phase?

1. Commit with intention. Treat this month as a meaningful communion with your creative spirit - essential for your well-being right now. Dedicate a time for it (before bed or with your morning coffee or mid-day break) and infuse it with purpose and meaning. Show up with determination and honor these moments.

2. Welcome your creations with kindness. You won’t always love what you create, and that’s okay. Be gentle and accepting. When you approach your work without judgment, you create a safe space for creativity to emerge, evolve, and find new expressions over time. Your creativity needs to know that it is welcome.
